Merry Christmas & Happy New Years

Welcoming Arms

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy 2018 New Years to all of you! 🙂 I will make this message a bit brief since my family and I are preparing for the family fun tomorrow on Christmas.

The least I can do is send out all of my love to all of you and thank you all so much for your inspirational words of wisdom, strength, and just… to let me know that I’m never alone and I have a friend and an online family waiting for me whenever I need to talk. The biggest thing and greatest accomplishments for me in 2017 was getting to share with all of you, my brothers and sisters in Christ. I will be honest: When I posted my first ever note and poem this year, I didn’t expect the love and comments from anyone. I didn’t expect that anyone would hear or read anything from me since I am not a well-known writer, but all of you have proven me wrong… and I ‘Thank You’ and appreciate all of you for that.

Matthew 19:26 (NIV) – “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”‘

I Am Strong… And So Are You

Regardless of what challenges we face, always remember that you are strong. I recently ordered this bracelet from an Avon representative that I could not stop gazing on one of the page’s brochure. This bracelet meant a lot to me, instead of it being for fashion.

Instead of giving up on our dreams and giving up on helping our societies, our families, and our friends, “YOU” can affect and make a difference in this world, whether you believe me or not.

In Matthew 17:20 (NIV), the Lord made a statement on the topic of what it means to have faith in Him. He said “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

No amount of challenges can overcome you. When I think of ‘Faith’, I think of another word that I enjoy living by: ‘Bravery’. I have ‘faith’ in Him so much so that it causes me to feel ‘brave’ over my challenges and I can quickly sidestep and brush off those days of being overwhelmed with pain.

You might be asking “What does your testimony have to do with what the Lord has quoted in the bible?” My answer: One thing I always  gain whenever I read a quote, a prayer, a song, or even the laws within the bible is an increased Faith within my spirit. My faith and continued trust in our Heavenly Lord, Jesus, is what gives me that nudge and push to keep on fighting. The enemy of God is trying his hardest to tempt me and to force me to turn away from the Lord in any way that he can try to get hold a foothold on my spirit. Ephesians 4:26-27 (NIV) says “in your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”

I imagine the enemy as being my home’s rug mats that I would use to wipe my feet. I believe in the Lord and I know that despite us not being able to physically see the enemy, God is spiritually taking care of all of all of us that continue to believe and have faith in Him.

I will not yield or stop moving because of what the enemy expects for me to do. I will keep on moving, staying strong, and keeping my faith in Christ.

Lifting Someone Up

Helping someone

I came across a scripture for the day, on the ‘Bible Gateway’ site, and I am thankful that I have. The scripture was in James 1:22 (NIV) that says “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

Whenever I share my posts, messages, or replies with all of you, I am being honest with all of you about whatever topic that is mentioned; even if I just give you a simple “Like” with no comment to follow behind it. It’s not because I believe that the “Like” was enough, but on the other side of this blog, I tried to remain strong and focus on writing instead of worrying about my outside troubles, pain, and noises. For example: I made a previous post about overcoming fears, when in fact, I was dealing with my own personal forms of fears. One fear was that, since I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS), when will I die and how will I die? Am I taking the right medications and am I on the right injection (Rebif helps me) to help combat my MS? By my family and I just recently dealing with a massive of family losses in 2016 and ongoing through this year, the nerves in my body isn’t as settled as it had been before.

Now, I’m not writing this message to point out my pain, but rather, it’s a message to aid me and help me whenever I feel bad or feel like giving up on things in my life. Whenever I reply a good message to anyone or even give you a “Like”, that is a reminder for me to come back and reread all of your messages and words again ‘FOR MYSELF’ because I need to. I need to read those messages and listen to your messages and share with you whatever message I may have. At the same time, I, too, need to revisit and review my messages as well to help keep me in line and the direction God wants me to follow and pursue.

Little you may know is that you all have been helping ‘me’ to climb over my stockpile of trouble in my life, and I am truly blessed and grateful to all of you. I needed you in my life, despite the fact of how far I am physically away from all of you, but spiritually is a whole new different ballgame when it involves Jesus Christ. 🙂 So again, THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!

You Are The Light of This World

John 3:16-17 (NIV) quotes “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

Luke 19:10 (NIV) explains Jesus’ mission on earth being “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV) says that “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

John 8:12 (NIV) – “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.””

I needed to take some time and think about the question: “Who is the LIGHT of this world?” Ultimately, as mentioned in John 8:12, Jesus spoke that “He is the light of this world”, which is true. He is the Son of God, a lineage relationship that can never be broken away from our Father (God) in Heaven.

Question: “But if that is true, then how can I, a human being living on the plains of this earth, be a light?”

Inside of each of us is a spirit, a spirit full of energy and light that urges to break out and share God’s Words and urges to connect with everyone and anyone that needs to be helped. Your own spirit is a light onto this world that truly needs to be shared. How? Do what you love to do. Example: If you are an instrumentalist and loves to play music, use your blessings to, not only play for your friends and the community, but play it for God. The Head Man that is always blessing us with gifts that we don’t even deserve to have. Whatever your skill or talent may be, think of Him at the forefront of your mind, because (to be honest) we will not be here today without Him.

Yes, Jesus is the Light of our lives, but at the same time, it felt as if He has passed the baton to all of us. He wants us to love one another, help one another, and to even pass our knowledge and our words down for generations. I love to write my poetry and inspiring messages so that I can at least encourage a soul and help someone who may need it most. This… is my spiritual gift that I love to do and share.

We all are lights in this world in our own way and can inspire to save a soul from being immune to darkness and believing that their lives aren’t worth living. The truth is that it is and we can do something about helping them to replace their broken light bulbs. 🙂

His Word Is Our Spiritual Instructor

In 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV), it says “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

We hold a mighty book in our possession and within our homes. Let’s say that you are someone that doesn’t own or have a bible within your hand or your home that is not within your grasp. As substitutes, there are many bible platforms and study resources that are available to you. One site I use is Bible Gateway. I will admit that I was referred to this site by a close friend, who also was the one that taught me about Jesus Christ and why I should always stay in prayer and have faith in Him. She is my Sister in Christ and she also bought me my first bible.

I bring all of this up because not only do we have biblical resources (bible, internet, friends, family, bible study groups, etc), but what we have even closer is being able to ‘hear’ God’s messages, the tool to teach others, and we can begin to let it bloom within our brother’s and sister’s hearts as that of a mere seed that needs to sprout. In Matthew 17:20 (NIV), it mentions “He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

It is not impossible for us to share, talk about, and teach others of God’s Word. It is not impossible for us to slow down our busy days, take a moment to relax, and to seek peace within our spirits that came from God. It is not impossible for us to also learn something new and our students are learning something new as well.

In our hands, online, or on paper, we have notes that spoke of the most powerful Words that came from our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, the Son of God who came down to earth and is known as the human form of our Heavenly Father.

I will assure you that every time you read of His Words and what He has done, it is as if there is always a new lesson, a new story, and a new verse that is always teaching us something new that we never had paid attention to the first time we have read the same sentence. It will be all worth it in the long run.

The Lord’s Prayer For Us To Remember

In Matthew 6:9-13 (King James Version), it quotes “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.”

Before my walk with Christ and understanding what it means to connect with an invisible God, I had so many misinterpretations of Him within my mind. When I was a kid, I remember my grandmother one day teaching me of the Lord’s Prayer… and to (of course) repeat what she said while we were on our knees and turning into bed to rest. As I had grown through my teenage years and into adulthood, it felt as if I was still affected and impacted by this prayer somehow. My curiosity finally got the best of me because that was a time when I had too many questions about ‘who is the Lord’ and ‘why was His prayer so significant in my life? the image of me praying beside my grandmother stuck within my heart for so long. I was soon blessed, within my life, with a grand amount of new friends that were supportive, including my family and home church members, about how valuable, important and precious this prayer is: the Lord’s Prayer that grabbed and held onto my heart.

Whenever you pray, you are having a personal talk, a moment, and growing a spiritual connection with God and are speaking to Him. In turn, you are growing and showing that you have Faith in Him and Believe in His Words. Perhaps He may not be physically standing in front of you on earth, but what if Spiritually is comforting you before I even made this blog entry. Have Faith, stay strong, and believe His Words in scriptures because He hears our prayers, He hears our cries, and He hears our voices, our hearts, and our spirits within us whenever and whatever time we want to speak to Him. 🙂

Exchange Good for Good For God

In Proverbs 20:22 (NIV), it quotes “Do not say, “I’ll pay you back for this wrong!”  Wait for the Lord and he will avenge you.” Similarly, in 1 Thessalonians 5:15, it mentions the same lessons to keep in mind to “Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong,  but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.”

Too often, and too much, we would either see or hear someone bringing up or speaking about some kind of idea of ‘Retaliation’, but not in a positive way as it should be. No, I cannot imagine the pain and hurt that you currently feel or had felt in regards for losing a loved one due to an action that could’ve been avoided; I have no idea of your experiences. However, I still stand and agree with the Lord on this subject: I will wait on the Lord because He is my avenger (Prov. 20:22).

It’s true that situations happen that can be too painful to bear, especially when losing a loved one, but at the same time, God has never abandoned us, despite how long Satan has been trying to gain the power the Lord has over us; the lost sheep. It pains me hearing about how many believe that a physical weapon is stronger than the Word of God or Prayer, which in truth, it isn’t and never can be.

A gun for a gun isn’t right. The Word of God is. Threatening and seeking retaliation against one another isn’t right. Believing in the Lord and His Word is. Hearing the news about how children are playing, firing, and harming someone or themselves with a loaded gun DOES NOT SOUND AT ALL RIGHT. Praying with our children and raising them to live and be the best that they can be is. To, at least, be given the chance to witness your child walk across a graduation stage or be promoted up a grade in school or even learning how to count is a miracle and more  amazing and precious than discovering devastation to be in their future.

If we are adults, lower guns quicker than firing them at one another; at least make the sacrifice for the Lord Himself. It’ll be worth it in the end.

Remain the Fighter That You Are

The devil is a liar

In the Book of Revelation 3:11 (NIV), the Lord said “I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.” Later, in the Book of Revelation, the Judgment of Satan has been revealed to us in Revelation 20:7-10 (NIV) as quoted “When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth – Gog and Magog (names in reference to the men and women of the devilish in heart) – and to gather them for battle. In number, they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night, for ever and ever.”

It is time for us to get back at the enemy and do the opposite of all the evil things he expects us to do. For example, the devil will find you in your most vulnerable and weakest state of mind where he tries to convince you to do something rule breaking and heart breaking to God. I know that no one can escape the evil influences the devil attempts to use as persuasion within all of us, but recall one thing: The Lord can make a way out of no way AND there is always a way to escape the enemy’s clutches.

This is a secret the enemy doesn’t want you to understand and know. He desires to negatively influence you to follow his way and deceitful plans, which, in the end, leads to nothing but destruction if he is the one to be followed.

Tell the Devil to back off and remember where he is heading: “To the lake of burning sulfur… ” and to begone with bringing up your past pains within your life, because guess what? We can never return to our past, but we can only make our futures bigger, better, and brighter than those years before. Any pain I may have and experience in life is only temporary… but Jesus Christ’s Word will be forever… and HE IS LIFE AND LIGHT!

I Will Work And Wait For You

Business handshake

In the Book of Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV), it quotes “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Regardless of how your work environment may be, where you may have your ups and downs kind of experiences, keep in mind that you are performing services for the Lord. Perhaps what you are doing doesn’t coincide with what you may believe could be a form of “servicing” Him. The truth is that you are. As long as you are “working at it with all your heart”, you are doing service for Him. For example: I may earn a paycheck or work at a business of any kind, but I do like to write inspirational poetry to help uplift others.

I just learned something new in my spirit: That is a service to the Lord. I am happy and proud of that, and for those of you that may have hard days and times at your current job, think about the Lord, calm yourself, and keep in mind that you are servicing Him and Him only; not the human being that you see before you. Even if you may be self-employed or unemployed, I’m pretty sure you are servicing the Lord as well. How? If you care for any children, or even when you decide to push yourself to complete or do a presentation in front of others, you can count that as doing a form of service for the Lord. Just think of Him first, do a silent pray (if you need to stay calm), and always remember that He is watching over you.

Happy Mother’s Day Everyone

I intended to include a scripture on my post, but I’d rather use this brief moment and time to thank all of the mothers, whether on Earth or no longer here, for what you have done and sacrificed for your children.

The Lord has directed me to locate one scripture to share: Job 31:15 (NIV). It reads “Did not he who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?” This is so true. Regardless of where and whom they all are, they made a sacrifice alone to bore us and help to give us the present life that we have on earth, whether we are still close to them or have grown apart from them. One fact still remains that they made a sacrifice to still bore us while God was molding us inside of our mothers’ stomachs. There’s a reason why, if you have a twin or a sister or brother with the same parents, that you do not look EXACTLY like one another. Now if you both do indeed look the same, both of your personalities are different somehow.

As I continued to grow, my knowledge of what a mother can do and will do for her child expanded. At one point, I can recall a time when I believed that multi-tasking couldn’t be done, but my mother proved me wrong. She was cooking, talking on the phone, ironing my school clothes, and helping me with homework while still answering any questions I had to ask of her. Mothers, I have one question for you: HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?! 🙂 As life progressed, I came across a multitude of different mothers; this includes teachers as well.

Dear Mothers,

I cannot imagine everything that you have been through just to show us how much you love us, protect us, and sacrifice for us. What you have done was nothing but prepare us to grow to become smarter, sweet, and intelligent seeds of youth. It was because of you that we have learned to grow and learned how to love our own children. It is because of you that I am standing strong and I am staying strong and grateful for everything you have done for me. Whether you are now resting in peace in Heaven with our Lord or are here on Earth, a million times over… thank you… Thank You… THANK YOU for everything you have done for us. It is because of you that I am still here, standing here, and I am still smiling. Thank you… and Happy Mother’s Day.
